Bookings open for new Umrah season

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says that it has started receiving applications from domestic and foreign pilgrims for the new Umrah season starting from July 30.

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry has started issuing permits for the new Umrah season starting from 30 July 2022, 1st of Muharram. Domestic and foreign pilgrims can send applications for Umrah booking and special permits through the Itimrna app, which will be issued according to capacity at Haram Sharif and Masjid Nabawi.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says that Umrah pilgrims will be able to perform Umrah with ease and comfort. Facilitation of issuance and booking of Umrah permit through Atimrana app is part of this strategy.

The ongoing statement said that various instructions regarding entry to Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi are also being presented through the Itimrana app, while visitors will be given multiple options while making bookings.

Umrah and Pilgrimage permits and bookings can be made by Saudi citizens and resident foreigners through the Atimrana app. Citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council and foreigners residing there will also get the same facility.

The Ministry says that if green color is visible in the app, it means there is minor rush. Red color indicates heavy rush while orange color indicates average rush and gray color indicates that there is no more booking capacity in Haram Sharif.
