Announcement of civil award to Babar Azam on Pakistan Day

The government has announced to confer a civic award on national team captain Babar Azam on Pakistan Day on 23 March 2023.

According to ARY News, a civic award for national team captain Babar Azam has been announced for 75 years of independence and will be conferred on March 23, 2023.

It should be noted that many personalities connected with show business and sports have already been honored with civic awards.

After the creation of Pakistan, it was decided to give six types of awards under the name of ‘Pakistan Citizen Award’. This decision was made in 1958, eleven years after the birth of the country.

The award made in 1958 included “Award for Pakistan, for Courage, for Distinction, for Quaid-e-Azam, for Service” and “President’s Award for Good Performance”.

According to the ruling at the time, four more levels of each award were established. According to the order, ‘Nishan Imtiaz’ was declared the greatest honor. Hilal Imtiaz, Stara Imtiaz and Tamgha Imtiaz were then announced.

The Presidential Award for Excellence is given in recognition of exceptional service in the fields of arts, literature, science, sports and nursing. Nominations are announced on August 14th each year, but the honor is awarded on March 23rd.

Along with Nishan Shujaat, Hilal Shujaat, Satara Shujaat, Tamgha Shujaat and President’s Good Performance Award, the awardees also get a reasonable amount of money.

Bravery awards in all four categories are given in recognition of bravery and life-saving service in extraordinary circumstances.

Other categories include awards for research in medicine, engineering, technology, philosophy, history, education and literature.

Awards are also given to civil servants working in government institutions and foreign nationals. The criteria for him is that he has rendered extraordinary services to Pakistan.

The first Meritorious Service Medal was awarded to Abul Athar Hafeez Jalandhri in West Pakistan, Dr. Shaheen-ud-Daula and Jasimuddin in East Pakistan. The year was 1959.
