Cases against PTI leaders are government’s plan against Punjab by-elections
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the cases against PTI leaders are part of the government’s plan against by-elections in Punjab.
According to details, Shah Mehmood, Imran Ismail and Amir Kayani appeared in the Sessions Court during the hearing of cases against PTI leaders during the PTI Long March.
On this occasion, PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi while talking to media said that today the leadership of PTI appeared in a false FIR, our lawyers requested that our bail be granted, other PTI members with me today. Leaders were also present.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the cases are planned by the government against the by-elections in Punjab, we were caught in fabricated cases, we expect justice from the court.
He further said that our position is that PTI is being involved in cases without any reason, they want all the leadership to go to jails so that they can do whatever they want.
The PTI leader said that we have come to the court for justice, there were about 25 cases, the hearing of the cases is on June 20, we will appear and our lawyers will give arguments.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that efforts were being made to influence the by-elections in Punjab so that the PTI leadership remained entangled in cases and could not participate in the election campaign.
