Children below 5 years of age are allowed to enter Masjid al-Haram

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has allowed children under the age of five to enter the al-Haram Mosque without a permit.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, children under the age of five can enter the Al-Haram Mosque without parental permission, while children above that age must obtain permission through the Itimrana app.

Persons coming on tourism and visiting visas can perform Umrah, Umrah will be allowed on each visa. Those coming on a private and family visa can also get an Umrah permit through the Atimrana app.

It is important to get a comprehensive health insurance scheme for Umrah.

It should be noted that on July 17, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the cancellation of the permit requirement for prayers in the al-Haram Mosque and the Nabawi Mosque.

According to the announcement, not suffering from the coronavirus remains a basic condition for holding prayers. The requirement of pre-booking in the Itimrana or Tawaklana app to perform Namaz at Masjid al-Haram has been removed.
