ODI rankings: Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq made history

 

Dubai: For the first time, Pakistan has bagged a major honor in the ICC ODI rankings.

According to the details, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest rankings of the one-day match, Pakistan got the award for outstanding performance against West Indies.

The good news for the national team is that on the one hand, in-form opener Better Imam-ul-Haq has snatched the second position from India’s star batsman Virat Kohli. They became Brahmins.

 

A statement issued by the ICC said that Imam-ul-Haq performed well in the home ground series against the West Indies, scoring three consecutive half-centuries and winning the Player of the Series award.

On the basis of this performance, Imam-ul-Haq achieved a record 20 degrees and snatched the number two position from Virat Kohli.

In the new ICC rankings, national team captain Babar Azam is at the first position, Imam-ul-Haq is at the second position, Kohli is at the third position and Rohit Sharma is at the fourth position.

Shaheen Afridi remains fourth in the ICC ODI bowling rankings, with New Zealand’s Trent Bolt still occupying the first position, Australia’s Josh Hazelwood second and New Zealand’s Matt Henry third.
